83 Online School Joins SHEFA Days to Promote Digital Learning Across Vanuatu
This past week, teachers from 83 Online School proudly participated in the SHEFA Days Celebration held in Sivira Village, in the north of Efate. The vibrant community event brought together leaders, families, schools, and organizations from across the province to celebrate culture, development, and local initiatives — and 83 Online School was there to raise awareness about the future of online education in Vanuatu.
👩🏫 Teachers on the Frontlines of Change
Our teachers were on the ground at the event, setting up an interactive booth to:
- Register new students for our Year 11, 12, and 13 programs
- Introduce families and school leaders to our online learning platform
- Answer questions about curriculum, course structure, and live online teaching
- Demonstrate how remote learning can overcome teacher shortages and support rural students
The team shared information about our Arts, Science, and Commerce streams, available in both English and French, and explained how students from remote and underserved communities can access quality secondary education — even from the outer islands.
🌍 Reaching Rural and Remote Communities
The SHEFA Days event was an incredible opportunity to connect directly with the communities we serve. Many parents, students, and school representatives expressed interest in how 83 Online School could support learning in areas where access to qualified teachers remains limited.
“This is exactly what we’ve been needing in our community — education that reaches everyone, everywhere,” said a local parent visiting the booth.
