Course Introduction
Welcome to Year 12 Biology. This course follows the Vanuatu National Syllabus for Biology and builds on what you learned in Year 11. You will study how living things work, from cells and biological processes to organisms and their interactions with the environment, while developing scientific thinking and practical skills.
Assessments & Expectations
Throughout the year, you will be required to complete assessments provided on this portal (Quizzes & Assignments), as well as Internal Assessments assigned by Exams Unit in Port Vila.
Compulsory assessments for this course that are set by Exams Unit consist of:
- 40% Internal Assessment (these will be announced and uploaded once they are available)
- 60% External Assessment, the VNSC National Biology Examination at the end of the academic year.
Students are expected to attend classes regularly, participate actively, complete all work on time, and revise consistently. With commitment and steady effort, Year 12 Biology will help prepare you for progression into Year 13 Biology (VUEC) and further study in science, health, and related fields.
